Fernando Teixeira
With an initial background in Law, Fernando did not envisioned himself having an office-based professional life, and that’s how he ended up embracing once again the communication experience he had accumulated over many years collaborating with various regional and national entities. He became a communications officer at Rewilding Portugal in 2019, and his six-year journey with the organization led him to the position of Director of Communications and Enterprise.
He has since completed a master’s degree in Management and is now finalizing a PhD in Agrobusiness and Sustainability, with research focused on corporate social responsibility and its practical application in business contexts.
He is a specialist in nature communication and tourism in wild settings, currently leading the tourism and commercial strategy of Rewilding Portugal in the Greater Côa Valley, with the goal of creating a nature-based economy that directly supports rewilding efforts on the ground.
